We’re approaching the one-year anniversary of Online Shopper℠ becoming available to dealers, and with that comes a year of customer engagement data and client feedback. The immediate adoption of online car buying has far surpassed our projections, but we’ve also gained key insights into where our user flow can improve.
#1 LESSON LEARNED
JUST GO WITH THE FLOW
At first, Online Shopper℠ was designed in multiple stages to accommodate a nonlinear buying process,
and to let dealers approve or adjust the deal at key points with the customer, all in real-time.
The most common request we’ve received is to minimize that amount of intervention needed by dealers throughout the process,
and the data backs that up — showing a drop-off in engagement after the highly successful Stage 1 when the dealer needed to approve the credit app.

THE SUPER STAGE
We listened to this feedback and data, and are excited to introduce The Super Stage, which allows shoppers to complete the entire deal in one sitting (like 10 minutes), all the way from contact info to scheduling their delivery or pick-up. The only thing dealership teams need to do now is approve or adjust the deal before it’s finalized to sign, at the very end.
